Spring Term 2026

Breakfast Club (Monday – Friday)

Breakfast Club at Howard Community Academy is universal and free to parents and carers. Children are invited to play games, activities and enjoy Breakfasts which adhere to the School Food Standards for England. What better to start the school day with a positive.

Time: 8.15 – 8.45 am FREE

If you wish your child to arrive at the earlier time of 7.45am – 8.15am there is a charge of £2.50 payable via the MCAS App.

Booking Essential: Breakfast Club is available to all pupils; however, your child must be booked in via the MCAS App prior to attending. This is to ensure we have the appropriate staffing levels and enough food to cater for all attendees.

Gardening Club

After School Gardening Club is run on a Monday after school. 3.20pm – 4.30pm. This is open to all years. Booking is essential via the MCAS App. This is a very popular after school club and spaces are limited.

Lunchtime Activities

Running and Fitness Club – A fun and active lunchtime club where pupils in Years 3 – 6 can improve their fitness.

Rockstar Club for Year 4 – A fun club to build confidence and fluency in multiplication skills.

Structural Play Year 5 & 6 – A supervised lunchtime club providing organised activities to support positive behaviour.

Choir for Years 3-6 – A fun lunchtime club for anyone who enjoys singing, learning new songs and performing.

If your child is interested in any of the lunchtime activity clubs please speak to their class teacher for more information (not available to book via the MCAS App)

Go-Wild (For Years 4, 5 & 6)

Run by Bury Christian Youth

Go Wild! runs from 3.20-4.30pm on Wednesdays. Children learn about nature, looking after our environment and learning to work together.

There are limited places available for Go Wild and places can be booked via the MCAS App or via the School Office.

After School Wraparound Care

Organised and run by Premier Education
